Bio:

As the Managing Director of Twitter LATAM and Canada, Melissa leads a team
of regional leaders focused on expanding advertising revenue, driving innovation, and building Twitter’s brand.


Melissa joined Twitter when it began building out its Revenue team in 2012 and has held multiple roles since then. Most recently she was the Head of Global Brands, running the team that oversees Twitter’s global advertising partnerships, or key accounts. Prior to this role, Melissa led Global Brand Advocacy at Twitter, which focused on market development, creating understanding of Twitter and building relationships with C-level executives.


Before joining Twitter, Melissa spent 11 years in the agency business, with her last role as senior vice president at Fleishman-Hillard, leading its New York consumer digital team.

Journalism.

Cassie Brown is a 5-year LinkedIn veteran, a talent strategist and travel enthusiast. After spending her initial years at LinkedIn working on executing high level talent acquisition strategies, Cassie took her love of solving recruiting problems to LinkedIn’s client base as a Relationship Manager.


Before her LinkedIn days, Cassie split her time at Pepperdine University studying in both Malibu, California and Lausanne, Switzerland, ultimately graduating Summa Cum Laude. At home, Cassie is a Grey’s Anatomy aficionado, a proud Greek, and a poor cook (but expert wine pourer!).

Bio:

Dr. Lisa M. Coleman is New York University’s (NYU) inaugural Senior VP for Global Inclusion and Strategic Innovation and Chief Diversity Officer. In this role, she is responsible for advancing strategic global inclusion, belonging and innovation initiatives across NYU’s global campus and schools. Prior to NYU, Dr. Coleman served as the first Chief Diversity Officer and Special Assistant to the President at Harvard University, 2010-2017. She earned her doctorate in Social and Cultural Analysis, American Studies from NYU and three master’s degrees from the Ohio State University in African and African American Studies; Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and Communication Studies. 

 

Dr. Coleman’s scholarly work was sparked by early professional work with the Association of American Medical Colleges, and working as an independent organizational computer consultant. Dr. Coleman has spent over 20 years teaching and working with numerous organizations including the Transportation Security Administration, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement, the University of Leiden, Vassar College, and New Zealand Works. Prior to NYU and Harvard, she directed the Africana program at Tufts University, and was appointed to serve as that institution’s first senior executive D&I officer reporting to the President. Dr. Coleman consults with leaders globally, and sits on various national and international boards including the US National Association for Tennis and the International board for Diversity in Organizations, Communities & Nations.


Dr. Coleman is the recipient of numerous recognitions and awards for teaching, leadership, as well as for her work on diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity.

Shannon Gordon

Shannon Gordon is a technology executive and leader with proven experience building and scaling new customer experiences. She is currently CEO of theBoardlist, a curated talent marketplace that connects highly qualified female leaders with board opportunities at public and private companies. Before joining theBoardlist, Shannon was SVP Operations and Customer Experience at Shyp, a San Francisco startup that helped small businesses with their shipping needs.

Prior to Shyp, Shannon was VP, Customer Experience at Walmart.com where she grew Walmart's omni-channel businesses, such as order online/ pickup in store, from a pilot in just a few stores to a chain wide program and a core part of Walmart's eCommerce offering. Shannon has also worked at McKinsey & Company in Chicago and attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
